I was able to slip out on Monday morning with TNet member, Smittyman. We utilized the 70 degree day to do a little treasure hunting.
My first find was a heavy Asian coiny looking thing. After a little research, it turned out to be a 1937 Japanese "China Incident" war medal. I can only assume that a GI brought it home as a WWII souvenir.
A little while later I stumbled across what I initially thought was a piece of trash, however, upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a lead toy tank. Nothing has the taste of a good old fashioned lead toy!
My intended target is the silver coin, and finally, a '54 Rosie appeared... whew. I regret to report that Smittyman found two Rosies. However, he did not find any Japanese war medals or lead toy tanks!
YTD silver coin #47.
Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!
