Found this cool little Jasper knife and the flake tool this morning, the others are from earlier in the week. The Quartzite triangle would have been nice. Not sure what to think of the crystal Quartz piece, looks worked to me. Last is my fourth broken Halifax this year. Thanks for looking, H.H.

Some nice mateial

Is the 1st one missing a stem? I didnt know you had material like that in your area very nice

Thanks guys. The first one is not missing a stem, maybe hand held? I would guess about twenty percent of the material I find is Jasper, mostly Quartzite, Quartz, Rhyolite and some black and gray chert.

Nice finds! I've had a couple of jasper finds this year too. I've asked people where the jasper came and was told "from the mtns". Jasper is rare in my area (NW Piedmont NC). Good luck to you!

Thanks, we have a well known Jasper outcrop not far up river from us and we find lots of Jasper cobbles in the creek.

That material is beautiful. You might consider tumbling a batch. Have you found any complete points made from it? Nice finds!

Thanks, I have found a few complete points from this material, and several knifes and other tools. In the first pic, the one on the left is a complete South Hampton, on the right is a MacCorkle with an impact fracture. The third pic is an end scraper, the last pic is just the bottom of a core, but it sure is colorful.
