Yep. The guy was completely blind. He wrote this in 1973, and, due to a battle with his publisher, was unable to release it until 2000. He gave an unreleased copy to Steve Miller after writing it, and Steve's band went on to make it a hit. A tragically unknown talent, his primary source of income throughout his life was the product of royalties from The Steve Miller Band's success with it. Personally, I think this version is absolutely superior!
