Jetton or European copper coin - anyone recognise it?

I picked up this iin an auction lot yesterday - I suspect it is a jetton or a European early copper/bronze coin - possibly Spanish, French or Netherlands. Anyone recognise it to save me trawling through the books? :-)

You many want to search through images for Venus Penny Jeton / Jetton. I think it may be from that series.

i.e.

counter 16th century Nuremberg Germany Nurmeberg 'Venus Penny' copper counter almost VF Coin coins and medals

That is brilliant - thanks! I think you are on the right track. The reverse is a good match - the obverse is trickier as there is so much damage and the legend is very difficult to read.
