Relic Hunting
Hello Everyone,

Today, I wanted to beat the rain and continue my “hunting just for hunting” fun of it attitude. The very fact of swinging in the outdoors, just thinking good thoughts and with the possibility of finding something really good makes me very relaxed and happy. So off I went to a few out of town playgrounds and sports fields. The clad was flowing very nicely ($ 4.76 dollars), with a few relics sprinkled in (old bullet, key and an?), as for jewelry four nice pieces found :headbang: my Tesoro Outlaw coil and of course the usual junk one finds at these places. Out of all my machines, the Outlaw seems to be the best tool for these hunting places and conditions: Sensitivity @ 6, Disc. ½ between Iron and Foil and neutrally ground balanced. I just set it up as stated above and dig every signal above the Disc. Level. I find it to be lots of fun, no VDI (no need to keep looking down at the control box), no worry about all the multi-tones (like my other machines) and no need to pin point (target always located within the 3 inch circle). I am not brand loyal, but situation and application loyal…”the right tool for the right job”. :icon_thumright:

Thank you for looking,

GL & HH

Doc

You made a lot of nice finds, what a good day you had!

Looks like a lot of fun.....

Like those charms, I don't think I have found that many at once.

I agree with what you said your Outlaw. I just started saving, a whole $5 to start, to get a Tesoro back in my inventory. But right now my 350 is perfect for where I am hunting.

Look forward to your next post.

Cool finds! Is that charm gold? Thanks for sharing!

WTG Doc, tone only hunting is what's needed at times. You certainly pulled your share of targets.

Hello eastcoastdetectorist,

Yes! The stone appears to be real too! :hello2:

Hello Loco-Digger,

When I'm going specifically for jewelry the Outlaw for me is my number 1 machine. I do not want the machine talking (tone, trace, number ...etc.) me out of digging a questionable target that could be gold; just set the discriminator just below foil and dig every beep. Works for me...:icon_thumright:

Regards,

Doc

ANTIQUE pull tabs! I just like the chase and the fun too.
