Jim's new book is FANTASTIC!!!

I just finished reading a new book "Gold Beneath the Waves that is probably the MOST enjoyable, water metal detecting book I have read.

It was written by "Foiled Again Jim" in Myrtle Beach that I have had the pleasure to hunt with a few times. Not only is Jim one of the true "old pros", of water hunting, but this guy can write!! Jim found 117 gold rings in 2008, so he writes from experience. Not only is it a great "how to" step by step for beginner hunters, but it is really funny for us seasoned hunters as Jim describes our hobby in "his" details. It was hard for me to put this book down, it was so enjoyable.

In all the years I have been hunting I leaned a tip from this book that will pay for it many times over......I wonder how many gold teeth I have thrown away?

Been follow Jim's adventure over on the other forum for several years..A very consistant hunter, and MB is a tuff place to hunt..lots of locals and many vacationer's, with his ring counts over the years, I'm sure he has some excellent tips...thanks for sharing CS.......

Just ordered this book from Amazon, I read through the sample pages on Amazon and now I can't wait to start reading it. But I have to wait on the snail-mail man to get here.

I bought it for something to do until spring.... after just two sittings, it is almost done so spring better happen real quick! Very good read and some of Jim's descriptions sound like things I have experienced already.

on page 30...great so far...it said to apply a marine epoxy to the bottom of the coil and take off the coil cover..has anyone tried this??

I read the book in one day and loved it, since I live in SC. and my daughter has a house on the grand strand beach,it will help me a lot I have hunted garden city beach and hope to hunt more of the beaches this year.
