Jonesin' to detect
Haven't been out this Spring much at all due to a lightening bolt out of the blue that has my whole family in shock. My 85 year old mother was diagnosed with lung cancer just three weeks ago. She had a nagging little pain around her shoulder blade thinking she had pulled something, went to the doctor and he thought she might have pleurisy so he started her on an antibiotic that never helped. Long story short, she has non small cell adenocarcinoma in both lungs and on the spine and took several radiation treatments and was in the hospital for a week.Either my sister or myself has been with her 24/7 staying at night and now she has help during the day and night with my sister and I filling in when we can and just doing whatever needs to be done. She is a candidate for an experimental drug which we hope will work on the tumors and give her some relief.she isn't in pain but cannot walk without a walker. This is a woman who worked out every day and strong as an ox so its especially hard on her to see her like this. So in my absence friends go out and make some great finds and enjoy God's beautiful landscape and take nothing for granted.
