At first I was like "no friggin way".
 

Gasparilla, if he existed, wrapped himself in chain and jumped overboard with both hands still attached.
 

He did... without a doubt.
I found what I would call "proof" many years ago... (please do not ask me for it)
Not only that... I THINK I know "where" the ship is as well :)
No where near where anyone thinks... not even close.

But I have to say all this regrettably...
I do not know why I even open my mouth...
I have been "down this road" here once before...
Big debate waiting to happen... it seems.

And nothing to be "done" about it.

Guess I am one who feels compelled to "speak out" on these things.
And with no one to "share" in the task of solidification of ANY of these things...
And so...
The "legend" lives on. :)

Gaspar... the greatest pirate to have ever lived... and the first to be "erased" from history on purpose.
