Got out today in the 90+ heat to try some detecting. Ended with a higher grade 1920 Merc, 1944-P WTN, a Sterling peace sign earring, and a sterling ring.

Towards the end of the hunt got a deeper signal. Figuring it was a wheat cent, it was a surprise to see a larger copper sitting in the dirt. Thought the one side looked like a seated lady. Got it home and I think it may be a Connecticut copper, but can anyone officially identify it... It's slightly smaller than a large cent, and I think I see "ONNE" on the right side of the obverse (looks to be a slightly off center strike). Is this a Connecticut copper? I know she's a little beat, but it's better than a wheat cent!

HH all!

Its definitely a Connecticut copper. I can clearly see the CONNEC on the right of the coin. Awesome finds!

It looks like it was struck way off center though.

Nice finds testing123.

Thanks guys! This will look good next to the Massachusetts cent from a couple years ago!
