Got out for a couple of hours yesterday. dug quite a few early wheats but no silver did manage a cool old cross and a ring. the wheats are 1919 (2), 27D, 28, 34, 41, 48D. the four early wheats were all in the same hole. I'm noticing now after someone mentioned that a lot of the times the early wheats come out green and the later ones look orangish. thanks for looking, HH all

Nice job on the wheats, pg. Sometimes you just can't make those silver be there. Sweet looking cross.....looks old.

Very interesting cross PG. Looks like you are hunting a good area with the old wheats!
I haven't been able to get out much, seems like I'm mowing grass every other nite, also, I don't get home from work now until 7pm. Tried chicken farming on a larger scale this year, 30 + birds in the flock now, 7 week old hybrid birds weighing in at 6-7 lbs. Might have to do alot of plucking this weekend! Not looking forward to it......... FFD

thanks bro, I couldn't find any markings on either. the cross I think is quite a bit older than the ring though.

Great bunch of finds Postal the cross does look old and gold plated. It's been a while since I found a silver coin myself, Ithink the last silver coin that I found was the bullion coin. You sure did load up on the wheats though, it would seem there's got to be some silver around there but that's the way it goes sometimes.
