Chinese coin. There's a website that will list the date range of manufacture, the emporer at the time, etc. Do you know why there is a hole in the center? No pockets in those days, so they tied them onto a string or their belt or something. You can try this website:

Thanks Big Al and TreasureTales. I will have to check my junk box more carefully. I am very surprised. It is one of my oldest coins. I wish I could remember where I found it. :P It does not say its worth but it looks like the pic below. 1735-1796. (their's is a copy)

OMG, I used to keep a list of what I found, where, when, and how deep, etc. Then I lost the list. I wish I could remember where my list is!!!! So I've been there and done that, bigcypresshunter, I feel your pain.

And you are most welcome. Honest to goodness, trying to solve puzzles and mysteries and identities is some of the fun for me. It's all part of the hunt. Have a good one.
