I just ordered a new minelab excalibur II from Kelly Co last night and they sent me a email back this morning saying they were currently on backorder. Then i got another email saying to call to confirm my billing and shipping address. While i had the sales rep on the phone I asked how long the backorder was. She said Minelab is around 1 month out on all high end detectors, doh!
So i would say if your thinking about purchasing one, you might want to get your order in, so your not disappointed like i was...lol :thumbsup:

nuts for a couple weeks now. It still looks like I'll have it to mess with on my off time at the upcoming Vein Mountain GPAA group outing. Good luck with your wait!

Goodluck with your upcoming Vein Mountain GPAA group outing. Hopefully you will get your new detector ahead of time and get some good practice with it. Yeah, I was a little bummed, I had some nice free time coming up in a few weeks and wanted to hit it hard, and really get to know the machine. Now I will have to wait a while. Oh well, what can you do.... I'm sure it will be worth the wait for both of us. Good luck again and HH! :icon_sunny:

Hey Jack

Just got off the phone w/ Jimmy from Minelab. Previously he had emailed that the next shipment would arrive the last week of April and ship to dealers/customers the 1st week of May (now). Today he informs me it will be anothe 1.5 to 2 weeks until Minelab gets it's shipment, plus the added time to ship to the dealers. I hope you have received your Excalibur by now, because if not you're in the cranky section with me!

Hey Jay,

Yeah i haven't recieved mine yet either. I'm torn as to buying a used older model while i wait. I have a feeling it will be 3 weeks or more and I wanted to get some hunting in before memorial day weekend. But i have also read that if you have a repair issue with the head phones or another problem that it's about a month turn around to recieve your unit back from minelab. Thats another option im weighing for getting a second unit...Now it's getting pricy though :icon_scratch:

Hope you get your machine soon, i'll be trolling the forums until i recieve mine.... :laughing9:

Backup for my excal with wot coil is another excal with the S-12 sunray coil....always nice to have a backup....

Same boat here Jack! I ordered an E-Trac from Kellyco the 31st of April. The salesman said i would get an
e-mail confirnation when my order ships. 4 days later i get a confirmation but no tracking #. I called Kellyco
and they said on no..it wouldnt be until around the end of May when we get them in. They also said it will be worth the wait, but that doesnt help as I am anxious to get it.

you just have to call around. different stores are gettint them in at different times. i got mine the other day off ebay from a detector store. he,s all out now. i got the last one. hope this helps frank

That's the trick...call around to see who has them in stock or have the dealer of your choice call M-lab to see if they have them in stock.

It's funny i got impatient and bid on a Excalibur 1000 on ebay but it was in California and it should be here Tuesday of next week I think. Ironically Kellyco called me today and sayed my excalibur II was in so it shipped today...Come Tuesday i think i will have both units. Oh well it will be nice to have a backup in the car if something breaks...I'm really excited to get mine. Hope to see you post some of your finds in the future...HH
