Just a little somethin I thought I'd share.

Here is a piece I found in 03. It looks like it's been worked down into a drill or a perferator. Whatever it is it's got really nice size for our field.

The vast majority of the items we call "drills" are simply resharpened knives. After several resharpenings, it's typical for many to lose width faster than they lose length and you wind up with the form. After being exhausted as a knife, many do continue being used for other functions; drill, chisel, hair pin, etc.
