I went out to Phoenix on Saturday for a few hours of detecting, and had a good day. Found a 1905s Barber half, 1958 Roosevelt dime, 1935 Washington state tax token, an old gaming token, a midget lipstick tube, and four Wheat pennies. Temperature was in the mid 70's and a beautiful sunny day. Only found about 15 or so clad coins. It was a quality not quantity day. I also included a picture of a homeless encampment in downtown Phoenix. Every side street off a main street had what you see here. The sanitation was not very nice. 002.webp003.webp004.webp006.webp007.webp008 (2).webp001.webpHappy hunting and may your coil center over great finds.

Great finds, you did well, Congrats!

Barber Half is still on my bucket list, so congrats on yours! Your first? Sad about the homeless camps... and we think we have it bad sometimes... Great save on that half! Ddf.

Nice job, well done! :occasion14:

My 2nd Barber half. I have dumbed into 3 silver halfs since the first of the year.

You’re killing it on Phoenix! FYI, 62 degrees at lunchtime in the Burgh today ... Love the Barber half. Congrats!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Three!!?? Dang save some for the rest of us lol... I’ve only lucked into one, a Walker my second year out, spring of 2015. I’ve ran across a couple clad halves and a handful of Barber quarters but no halves. And we never “dumb” across great finds, it’s a combination of research, perseverance and perhaps, a little luck. Ddf.

We have freeze warnings here the next couple of nights. Cold front moving through. Thanks.

Congrats on the Barber half Johncoho. I still haven't found one yet.

Maybe I'll find one now though. ;)

Very nice half find there!!! Still have not dumbed into one of those!!! Had some close calls but if you miss it by an inch you miss it by a mile.

Nice job on that Barber Half.
