Just because you move to Sweden doesn't mean that you stop checking change...

So I recently moved to Sweden, and had to give up my past time of CRH. But that doesn't mean I don't compulsively check my change, and after only 2 weeks in country it paid off with a

1964 1 krona coin, 40% silver.

It came out of the change machine dirty brown, and it looked just like a gross looking 40% Kennedy.

So, tell us about the more important things in Sweden though.

Like the Keystone Light Swedish Bikini Team, do they really exist?

How are you liking it over there?

and also, can you CRH there, the way you can in the US?

I bet it could very well be an untapped market if you can! :icon_pirat:

I heard Swedish women are hot?

I married one, so I would say so.

You unfortunately can not CRH the same way as if you were to ask for a roll of coins, you would be met with a blank stare if you are not a business. The society here is rapidly moving away from cash for the most part.

However, in almost all stores, if you want to pay with coins, there is a drop box that counts them, so you don't have clerks picking the good stuff.

Not to mention, the edges are all silver, so it would take for ever. And the lack of a difference in design, only the date makes it harder for to spot the difference.

Sometime back a member posted about getting a box of coins in Sweden. He found a couple of 40% coins in it. I wonder what his secret was to getting a box?

Actually, metal detectors are illegal without a hard to get permit. Because of the right of public access to any land in the country, it would be too easy for people to go around, digging up every last thing they could get their hands on, and moving it out of the country. The Swedes protect their heritage I suppose.
