I wanted to go back to the church today, but it being Sunday I'll have to wait until tomorrow. While riding around this morning I spotted a 'For Rent' sign and called the number that was on the sign. I told the agent who I was and that I wanted permission to detect the yard. He was a little reluctant at first, but I assured him that it would be OK. He said go ahead.

All I was finding at that site were copper memorial pennies, not a single wheat penny. Finally, I got my search coil over a Rosie dime. I grid searched that yard really good, but there were no more silver coins to be found, so decided to leave for another site.

I went back to a yard that I've detected before to see if I left anything. I found a few wheat pennies, but no silver coins. I eased over in the grassy area between the curb and city sidewalk on the house next door.

Right off I got a sweet audio high tone and the VDI numbers were gentle rolling between 75 and 78. That's always a silver dime. I popped it and got another silver dime about five feet away. It was getting around noontime, so I decided to call it a day.

This is my 24th hunt for the year and I have a grand total of 79 silver coins. There's one day left in this month, so I'm going to see it I can make it 80 silver coins in just 2 months of detecting. I'm going to hit the church site again tomorrow.

I'm one of them Toasted....

Great Roosie count. Usually people find more Mercs than roosies by a large margin, just by the sheer number of years produced. 29 years of Mercs and 18 years of silver roosies.

Keep 'em coming!
