Just curious, your oldest coin found with Ace 250?

My 2 oldest coins I have found with the Ace 250 is a 1927 SLQ and a 1909 Wheat penny.

Several IV - II Century B.C. bronze roman coins, i can't say more 'cause they were very dirty and, after a look, I gave them to the Cultural Resources Management Bureau officer beside me. I was commissioned to hunt out the archaeological context at the end of the annual diggings...I've found a lot of other objects too, They'll be cleanin'g up them all now!

My ace made a great job.

I found an 1873 IH about 8" deep in very rich, wet and loose soil with my Ace 250 this year. Also, that was an exception to the rule. That was the deepest coin I've found with it.

I didn't find this coin, but my partner did. It was a 1788 Mexican Reale. He found it in a dry Creek bed
here in Ohio this past summer. I was hunting the same creek bed when he found it. Boy what a surprise that was.

I don't know what my oldest coin is that I found with the ACE 250, I have found many 1800 coins with it. I guess the 1853 half dime would come in close. I and my partner both found 2 flying eagle pennies last year. Boy what a fun detector this is to use. For the nay sayers, I hope they keep using those top of the line, top dollar detectors. LOL

I can't find the picture of the 1788 coin, but if I do, i'll send it.

HH, Ringfinder

P.S. I just found a 1836 Large Cent that I found this year also.

1905 IH is my oldest find so far. A 1919D wheat penny is my next oldest.

I have only had been able to use my detector for three months so far due to the snow and frozen ground. I purchased it in September of last year - but from the end of November 'til the middle of March, it sat idle.

Today was my 1st day out with my new ACE250(about 1/2 hour of detecting or so..really cold and wet every hole dug filled up with water)

but i did find 95 cents in clad and an IH penny that is pretty crusty(cant see date yet-soaking in oil will post soon)

Update to my earlier post. A week ago I found an 1882 Morgan Silver Dollar at about 4". My first excursion into the 1800s!
