Hi all,

I was just reading sansteds post below about copper vs. hangers. And got to thinking about what else people could make L-rods out of. My grandfather made several sets of L-rods some where copper some were steel and some were stainless steel and one set is aluminum. I remember him saying that the different metals would be attracted to different items? Anyone on here have any experiences with stainless steel or aluminum as used in L-rods? I remember as a kid placing a small gold nugget in the yard and having the L-rods cross when i got directly over the target these were copper rods. I noticed that sandsted mentioned holding one rod and turning 360 degrees? could someone explain this to me. Also I'm interested in map dowsing and triangulating with L-rods out possible cache locations could someone post some areas with more information available on these subjects? If anyone wants to P.M. me thats great too.

Hey cachehntr....Wecome to our hobby...I have my methods at http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,19537.0.html
They are by no means the only way that Dowsing works. The only way to become good at dowsing is to practise a lot and study how others dowsers methods. Using one rod or two rods is something you will need to learn. I have dowsed with all types of rods even wood, plastic and one time with one of those crazy straws. I always end up using my brass rods.

There are some map dowsing lessons on this forum so read away....Art
