Detector(s) used
Whites GMT/Ace 250/ X-terra70/ whites xl pro
Hello all, Just got my E-xterra 70 and besides my MXT I'm having a little trouble with all the settings an GB but I'm learning any tips or reviews on this detector would be greatly appreciated I have the stock coil the 6" DD and the 9X5" DD all high frequency my main goal is to coin relic hunt in the parks wood some non saltwater beaches and some occasional gold I also have a GMT for that. any suggestions on coils settings ETC.. would be appreciated Most of the ground here in WA is moderately to heavily mineralized. Thanks in advance. Grant

Watch your number values closely. I usually dig everything that gives a 10/12 and higher. 10 are usually pull tabs but 12 are most likely nickles. My X-Terra 70 is a nickle shark. Which is very good because that is where gold rings fall.

Hi Vegas goto the minelab section of the Tnet web site
I have a Vdi Chart listed & the method that i set up my
machine with a detail explanation of howto operate
the machine which has worked for me

congrats on your new machine.

Thanks all for your conrats and info, I'm planning a trip to the OR or WA coast this weekend any tips on which coil to use I have the stock 9" concentric the 6" DD 18.75KHz and the 10X5DD coils I'm assuming the elliptical 10X5" would be best at the saltwater beach. Also,How do find this xterra section70n the tnet forum? I found a spot where my old xl pro found a 1955 Wheaties a 19330's WA State sales token and 36 merc. all within 3' of muddy soil maybe the XL needs servicing anyway cant wait to get the GB issue worked out and hit that spot. another spot I found a 1909 and 1906 Indian head penny same hole. Just can't wait!!!! good hunting to all and as soon as I can get my camera to downsize my pics of finds I'll send them out. Thanks bunch is a great forum I'm gonna become a charter member ASAP.
