I ran into my friend Louie last week and he told me he was having his front porch torn off and redone. On Sat. they had all the old porch removed and down to the dirt on this 1873+ house. I hurried over to swing the coil while the workers were off buying lumber. The turkey were moving that morning and I had several cross the road on the way as well as some waiting in Louie's side field when I arrived. I couldn't scare up any coins but had one good signal that pinpointed large. I dug and out came a nice crotal bell. I got another good signal in the same spot and out came bell number two with some leather still attached. Both bells are in decent shape with their ringers.
I also found the remains of a Prince Albert tobacco tin and an old pocket watch that has seen better days. After the guys returned, I hunted the yard for a while but only found two grommets.
(I have hunted this yard extensively though.) A beautiful day to be out.
HH and thanks for looking,

p.s. Forgot to put a coin for reference in the bell picture. They were numbered 5 and 9.
