Bought from Mike at Woodland detector sales. Its my second detector from them. I bought the Explorer SE from him last year. Great machine! Now I'm ready for the 5000.

Wish me luck!

I am happy for you to be able to get this machine, you are going to have an awesome time ! I hope one day to be able to buy a machine like you got , but that is going to take a whole lot of saving . :)

And Mike is one of the best , you could not pick a better place or person to get it from . I hope more members support Mike , I am glad he is here on our forum with his Store .

Have fun and take some photos or a movie of you using that 5000 , I want to see how it works. And I hope you find some gold also.

NICE................... :icon_thumright:

I plan on retiring in the 4 cornors in a few years and I hope to get a 5000 when I do.....Be sure to let us know how it goes....

Downloaded the manual last night and spent an hour or so reading. There's a lot to it, it seems.

Gw when you get use to the new toy, I sure would like to see it in action. I'm a few minutes from Baltimore....let me know if your hunting in the area. I was thinking about a 4800, (water proofed 2 aquapac's) in a few years so I can dig some craters at the beach, And for winter hunting only.

What kinda hunting do you have planned for it? Beach, Relic?

I'm pretty much a colonial digger at old sites in farm fields. Might try some woods hunting too. We're on the eastern shore. I'll keep the video making in mind but last time I took my camera out too take pics of our finds I got dirt in the optical zoom and it was then toast. I'm like a bull in a china shop.

Yes, maybe we can get together someday.

Thanks for the video. I hadn't seen that one before. It gave me an idea of a site I hunted 20 years ago. An old church ruins from the 1680s. It had been beaten hard by many people and yet I went on it with my old 89 Eagle II SL and pulled out several colonials from the depths - Even 2 Connecticut coppers in one hole. I was a persistent little fart back then. This could also be a great site for the GPX.
