I can't tell you how excited I am to get started. I got an e-mail that said my detector would be at my front door sometime next week. There are so many places around my area I want to try, I don't know where to start. Gonna have to learn just how the machine works first. I've never even held a detector before. I'll let you all know what my first find is!
My advice would be to start in your own yard first. It's a great way to learn your detector and to learn to cut a proper plug in the ground. That way when you go out into public you will have the confidence that comes with experience and you wont make a mess of the turf.
My first time I found a nice ring along with a few coins and some old matchbox cars an old dog tag, nails, pull tabs, a wrench, pieces parts, nuts, bolts, lawn mower parts, interesting and unusual what is it's, and that was only in my first hour of the back yard!
Happy Hunting,
Goodyguy~
