Excellent Columbia Chateau Gem Point from Washington with Tom Shenk - Bannerstone Tom COA. It is 2-3/8" x 1-7/16" and is stated to be made from Calcedony-Agate. I am not claiming to know the age of any Item; I am using others in the field opinions.

I'm not too familiar with stone age artifacts. How can you tell they're all likely fake? Is it because they're so clean and without damage?

A COA issued by Tom Shenk is not worth being used in an outhouse in my view. Any rock with one of these toilet paper COA's is not worth a second glance.

To say he is an expert on any native American relic is a fantasy.

End of story.

Several years back eBay changed their rules, and as long as a seller honors a guarantee and has a 3rd party paper, you can't leave them a negative feedback. (Well you can leave it, but the seller disputes it and it gets removed.)

So buyers who want pretty things, see 100% feedback, COAs, and pretty rocks and the cycle continues.

Several sellers like this on on eBay. All their artifacts are perfect, big, and have dubious COA's. Usually Baker, or this Bannerstone guy. Occasionally they have a real one with a reputable COA in the mix. Sad really, they are actually theives.

a number of things.... the profile is wrong, it is flat indicating it was made from a slab, it should be a sort of oval with pointed ends. The stone is ridiculously attractive and perfectly symmetrical. The sellers other items are also all perfect and similar. It is also not a true native "style"... it is a fantasy style and size. There is no patina at all, and it looks like it was made yesterday. The fellow that made it most likely sold it at a street fair or swap meet (I see them a lot) and he sold it as his own art work, not as authentic indian.
