Feb / March has been so good to me - I've smashed my rookie year totals for same months already...... East coast lows just eroding back the years, will post the gold booty later ... but todays hunt produced a 22-24kt (tested) 5.94g Engagement ring - missing it's other half - looked so yellow in the scoop when all other targets had been green, rusty, tarnished - I looked hard but could not find the band side, looks like a humongous yellow sapphire as it does not test for diamond - but under the loupe the stone is flawless, absolutely no scratching and the cut is immaculate - got to be 3-5cts at least - I think a winner - other silver/ moonstone/ gold accented ring (can't read gold hallmark even after bit of a clean), Claddagh silver and other old silver - ornate designed ring. Was a good day and I'll take the goldie for a valuation and keep y'all posted.
Must also mention my oldest coin found 2 weeks ago on the beach where a creek burst it's bank and cut the beach - an 1881 British Halfpenny - in olive oil soak as I write this.
