So over the weekend, I went out and did some detecting across the street from the state capital. I was hoping to maybe find some older coins, I admit as it is original soil, and site of a DAR parade back around 1890.
I'll go back with a deeper coil once I get it. Anywho, at about 4", ringing in a strong quarter/dime on my garrett 1500, I popped up this little fella...

I wish! Not even silver plate. Just shiny. I found something similar a few years ago and was told it's a pin used by a Christian Navy group.

I'll put up a cleaned shot tonight. On the back, there's a "scar" indicating where the pin and clasp would have been. Except for that missing piece, it's in near perfect condition.
