kelly axe head

hello new to this site and new to MDing i just dug a axe head up today its made by Kelly co.. cant get a lot of info on it other than the Kelly cross cut etching on it is rare Kelly co has been making Axe heads since 1878 id love to know how old this thing is and if i should try to clean it?
