Had an awesome score this week in my boxes! We've only ever found one modern silver proof over the past 2+ years, a 2000-S. This week, we found two more! In separate boxes nonetheless.
We scored a 2011-S silver proof as well as a 2012-S silver proof, the key date modern silver proof!! Unreal that we were able to find one of these in circulation. The mintage for this coin is only 395,443 pieces, the lowest mintage of the Kennedy half series. Compare that to the other semi-key that we're probably all familiar with, the 1970-D with a mintage of 2,150,000.
Even in impaired condition this one goes for $65-$70! We've found a lot unusual things CRHing but this is our first key date and most valuable single coin we've found thus far.
