Still haven’t found my first “W” quarter yet. Still looking:(
 

I’d say current things are going to include silver proof coins and West Point quarters.

Red Book is the bible for U.S. coin info.
Another way to determine what coins are 'rare' (or just harder to find) is to get a box of a type of coins from the bank and sort them by date and MM (Mint Mark).
Go by rows of ten and keep the best three.
After the first box is empty, repeat.
You can see what dates are missing or hard to find.
After going through all of the Cents that you wish, do nickels. And so on.
But use Red Book (or a book like it) as your main source of info.
