Found this in my backyard tonight. It's a little over an inch long.
The front says the Kirk-Latty MFG Co. Cleveland OHIO. "if found, drop in letter box"
Back has the number 708 stamped and I think it says STOWE BOLTS or STOVE BOLTS. It says STERLING in small print on the bottom.
I looked up the company. It was established in 1830. They manufactured bolts, tricycles , and pedal cars.
Could this be a locker key tag for someone who worked at this place? Is this silver?
