Keyhole Cover Specifics?

Hello All. Found this at a c.1918 home site. It's brass, 3-IN tall and 1-3/4-IN at its widest. No engraving except for the "74" on the back.

Were these things mass produced? Is there any way to determine maker etc.?

I would guess that to be a bit older (1880's), Eastlake or Aesthetic style. Mass produced, yes, but still has a lot more character than anything made today! One like yours shows in this search: antique brass key plate marked 74 - Google Search
