Well, with DST here and the wife and kids all having their own plans, I took full advantage and returned to the spot I have dubbed "Flowing Hair Field". I reworked an area that my buddy, Jim "scoured" and found a bunch of nice early coppers, but that did not mean he got it all.
.
In between some of the filled in holes I got a deep, broken signal and dug a King George II. It was about 10 inches down. A little while later I got a solid penny reading and dug my second of the day. This one was only 5 inches deep.
I can not make out the dates on either one, but even though they are both worn, at least I was able to ID them both. The one on the right appears to be a "Young George" variety (1729-1739).
