I was in bad need of a battery charge today.

So, I decided on the Mansion.

That place almost always works for me. Just being there
is usually enough.

It worked....sort of....

After a 2 hour walk this was all I found:

2016 (382).webp
2016 (383).webp
2016 (384).webp
2016 (385).webp

Well, it IS a ring.....sort of. :dontknow:

I dunno, I do enjoy the walks there, but it seems that
the only thing getting "old" there anymore, is me. :dontknow:

Ah well, next time!
Thanks for peeking!

A day detecting is a great day! :icon_thumright:

LOL That's a Big hunk of Lead :laughing7:
Someone must have been Varmint Huntin' :laughing7:

That is one large bullet!
At lest your "ring" is a ring. Mine usually turn out to be pop tops!
You found peace of mind, that in its self is priceless!
At lest you got out, thats better than i did.
Congrats on a wonderfull stroll on the mansion grounds! Awesome! Nice finds too!
The circle with prongs, is that a watch winder?

Those two will be going around that ring for a while trying to figure out which end is up.

Yeah, I always count my blessings first. It's just that 2 hours?! For what? Kind of gettin' old.
The lil thingy? That was my thought, a fob or key for winding. :dontknow:

I've found enough old bullets to be pretty sure this one is pretty old. It has a very heavy
white oxidation. That takes a long time to build up!
But, I'm not sure from what gun. It seems kinda longer and narrower to me than other
bullets I've found.

Thats interesting. It would be cool if its from a rare gun.

I love the mysteries of the things we find!
I like trying to figure out what the "whats its" are.
Bet somebody on here knows what gun the bullet is for.

Well, on at he bright side you got to recharge your battery! :icon_cheers:

Nice to see you got out again Whadi, I have a few permissions that I've pounded and still pull some odds and ends when I dig the deeper whispers.

Thanks! Yeah, it's always great to go for the walk. And this place simply reeks of history!! So, there's always a chance, on every single plug! Look at that bullet! I've been over and over and over that area, yet, it still found a way. LOL
And I just know it's an old one!

I probably won't ever stop going there, but, 2 hours, 2 finds? that can wear anyone out. :)

Yep, I have one park that I am constantly returning to.
You just never know what is going to turn up.
Congrats on getting out.

Whadi, Is that big bullet a .45-70 rifle bullet? The Cannonball Guy can tell you for sure... And I like that "Watch Winder?" The chrome ring looks like it is threaded inside too, maybe off of a modern plumbing job? Hey if the personal mini-pets like it, then all is well! Sub 8-)

I haven't a clue about the bullet. I just know it takes about 80 plus years to start getting a thick white crust like that, it's old.

The crew is happy, but, is that what I'm reduced to? Finding for "them"? ;)

Its a balance, some for them, some for you.
You can do with out the sulking, whinning, and morose side glances...and thats just Blingie!

I personally like the pin (or whatever the little lizard thing is). Thanks for sharing.
