Went down to my usual site, but there was a sporting event going on, so I tried another spot and they had it torn up with no trespassing signs, so went to an old forgotten site and scored. This site dates back to the mid 1700's, but I have never found anything that old. First I found a couple of wheat pennies, then this large button. I nearly passed out, but most important gave me a better attitude about the place. Then dug the Mercury dime, very deep. Then got the George II about a foot deep and I was in shock. Haven't dug a Colonial copper all season. Then dug my nicest large cent, 1843. Two hour hunt pays off. I love this hobby. Hope your all digging it.
