I got out today with Colonial Silver Zeus and Colonial KirkPA to a new site. It was pouring down rain super hard all day today, but it didn't stop the three datectateers.

This 1730s-1740s version of the King George II bust gave off a nice "M" on "Dime" reading on my White's XL Pro 6000; it was only two inches deep, folks!

Its dimensions:
-Diameter: 27.55 mm
-Weight: 8.20 grams

P.S. Buckleboy, are you still looking for a King George coppa?

It looks like the Colonial Zoyboy is sticking to his Colonial roots. It don't matter about quantity. A 270-year-old plus coppa is top-notch.

We must keep swinging like John "Johnny" Walter!

Nice dig Kyle. I had trouble deciding whether to dig some deepies...OR put a few miles on the Harley. It was a win win situation either way so I finally opted to do some ridin'.

There you go Kyle. Nice coppa!! Does the back have any detail?

great job. your persistence paid off, again. congrats HH

Kyle,
Congrats big guy! It may of been pouring rain, but you were NOT washed up. ;D
Great job on the ol' coppa. :icon_king:

The reverse is a total slug. I tumbled the coppa for about 32 minutes prior to taking pictures; I have to say that my jib is smiling away after seeing the results.

For my collection, I now have the "grand slam" in British coppas: 1700 William III coppa, King George I coppa, 1730s-40s King George II coppa, and King George III coppa. :icon_sunny:

Thanks, everyone, for the kind metal datecting replies.

Kyle a.k.a. Lemony Snicket :D

Yea, nice find I would love to see that copper cleaned up, for all I know I could of shunned some thing like aside here and there. I have to keep my eyes peeled out on stuff like that.

Great find Kyle
