I just read in the paper yesterday that they are going to leave all that wreckage in the valley....as a testament to the forces of nature and bla, bla, bla.

I just think they don't want to have to pay to have it drug out of there.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't those piers fall up creek? And the walkway on the viaduct was on the downstream side? So...coins tossed more than likely were down creek?

Been a lot of years since I've been up there. The pics make it look like a nightmare trying to walk around down there. Do they even allow anyone in the valley right now? Part of the article said they had it closed after the tornados....

Anybody know how much snow is up there right now? About when might it melt?

Hi Sky,

The walkways were on both sides of the Kinzua Bridge. We threw coins upstream....we threw coins downstream...we spit upstream....we spit downstream. :D

I haven't been there since it collapsed. I'm assuming they don't let people down at the bottom.

We still have patches of snow...mostly in the upper elevations and in the woods where the sunlight doesn't get through.
