Kit Carson Park's still got a little bit ----

Well, I took a rest for a couple of days but had to get back out. I decided to keep on detecting, keeping Little Miss SE but did bring home for her a Teroso brother named Cortes purchased from the Classifieds here on site. The two work well together. The Cortes looks like a toy but works like a million bucks and is a lot easier to swing than the SE. I found what I thought was a silver ring at about 8" with it but it turned out to be some sort of cheap alloy. The silent threshold takes some getting use to! Yesterday, I only managed a hour or two finding Lincolns, dimes, and a 1952 quarter. Today, I went back; determined. I found another silver quarter 1964 this time and a 57 Rosie with the SE! The rest of this stuff is a mix of yesterday and today. The broach, at first glance got my heart going but it appears worthless as are the ring, and locket. The nickel suffered Leske's remorse! No, not really; I found it on the way to the truck; toting two detectors, neither spotted it. Seems it got hit by a car or two? Lol! Sorry, ain't much here but, I got up, got out and "got it done!". :)

Nice silver!

Any day you get silver is good. Pretty soon it will be copper we are all after. Give it about 10-15 years then our significant date will be 1982 rather than 1964.

Thanks for looking everybody!

I'm going back in the morning to work another square. Eventually I'll have that park worked over instead of it working me over! I sure wish pull tabs and bottle caps were a dime a dozen; I could afford to hire me someone to dig. :)

Any time you find silver it is a good hunt. Congrats.
Those keys look like antiques. Hope you have good luck with the Cortes.

That looks like more than a little bit to me. Looks better than my best day.

Keep pounding that place, GRB!!! You're doing great there!!! Are you going to start a detector collection??

Man, you really scalped that nickel. Good thing it was just a nickel ;)

Hey, that nickel was like that when I found it! :)

I went back this morning, as promised. But, it was a tough day. I only came away with 12 coins of which only one was a 1948 wheat and a Amusement World token. But, I did become a star! I guess the local chamber was having some sort of interview-LOOK-AT-TRINIDAD session. I was so absorbed I didn't even noticed the camera pointed my way. By the time I did, and was getting somewhat agitated by it the cameraman hauled it to his truck and left. I hope they're not planning to use it against me in a court of law. :)
