I found the stones below during a recent hike in Beacon, and Cold Spring, New York:

I don't see where they were altered by man. Nature can be tricky.

It's possible the smallest one is a flake of Normanskill chert.
 

The blackend one has almost a fossilized shark tooth character, double check the edges and if there is serration you might have a shark tooth from the ancient past. I'm not a paleontologist, it can't hurt to check
