Actually I found 2 years ago around a tree. It states No. 1 Pittsburgh on front good shape, is it gold plated or anything. Appreciate your expert advice, I’m sure I won’t find another, time era would be nice to know, thanks. 997A6B7E-2E41-4F39-A7AA-4EBBC490BC61.webp997A6B7E-2E41-4F39-A7AA-4EBBC490BC61.webp

I don’t know how old this would be, since “Pittsburgh No.1” still exists today in the Knights Templar. The Grand Encampment of Knights Templar website notes this in its history: “Celebrating 200 Years 1816-2016”:

“… In the meantime four [new] Encampments had been established by the General Grand Encampment. Pittsburgh No.1 at Pittsburgh received a Dispensation from Grand Master W. B. Hubbard on May 13, 1846, and was granted a Charter on September 16, 1847…”

Is there any backmark that might help in dating?

Thanks would this in your opinion be a rare find or simply interesting at the least

Possibly rare in the sense of not very many of them having been made since the membership won't have been high, but that doesn't equate to value; and it doesn't appear to be gold. Just a nice little piece of history that may be of some interest to KT collectors.
