Kodachrome Slides & a few ID's needed

I got 90+ for $3.00 yesterday . what car is that , what bridge is that , and the ship , I think its at Bath Iron Works .

The bridge is the Golden Gate in San Fran. I'm guessing on the ship, but from the notation from the top of the slide, could it be the Battleship California? We have a lot of Military guys who should be able to ID it for you. I can't see enough detail on the car to give me an idea on the model, but again we have a lot of car folks who will be able to get you in the right direction. You might want to get those slides transferred to DVD. The slides will eventually degrade unless they're kept dry and cool. Looks like you have some neat slides in that group..

Well, here's my guess on the car. I'm not a car guy, but I'll try Sherlocking Holmes this. If you look at the slide of the front of the car, look in the background. The other parked vehicles appear to be early to mid 50's. The neighborhood looks to be high mid-income. I'm thinkin it's a Ford from the 30's, 40's ish It's not a Buick or Caddy . They usually carry the spare behind the front wheel... I look forward to hear what it really is.....lol

Should be some numbers near the front of the ship. Can not tell in the slide. The numbers may be on the other side.

1940's era MG is my best guess.

The Bridge ? Maybe this one , in Maine . It was demolished a few years ago- They built a new one next to the old .

The car is a 1949 to 1954 MG TD I have one. Fun car. Tight fit

Yeah, that's why I deleted my original post saying the same thing. It is the GG bridge no doubt. I just couldn't see any replies or anything else on this crap android app. ehrn I replied And no I'm not downloading tapatalk in order to view it better. I hate tapatalk, it screwed up my last phone. Now back to the slides...

Just to confirm Golden Gate Bridge. Use to look out the window of where I worked and saw it every work day. Place at the time was called Ft. Baker.

You have a good shot of the tag on the car. If you get or can borrow / buy a slide scanner $20 -$50 and scan them into Photoshop or even a projector zoom in on it! I have a (Vista Quest FS-503) That'll give you a good clue to the year. If you really want to go at it, do a print and run it by DMV & explain it to them & see if they can / provide the owners info. A cup of coffee at the local cop shop might get you some info.

One of the slides has a date penciled in so there's another hint. Not sure if this still works, but Kodak labs pressed serial numbers into the paper. You used to be able to call Kodak in Rochester New York, and they could tell you which lab the slide was processed at. Like I said, I'm not real sure this service still exists, but they can't shoot you for asking. If you're getting bunches of slides & film grab one of these scanners! Does slides without removing the holder, 35mm negs singles or strips. With a little poster board & an Xacto knife you can make your own carrier & do 110 negs too. Their software is ok, but I prefer to scan straight into Photoshop and adjust for fading & scratch removal. BEWARE!!! This can get very addicting very fast after you dun out of family pics!

I looked at it under a microscope - I see 107 near the bow & near the stearn

Not sure if this is it or not, it was sold for scrap in Sept. of 1961 at the Philadelphia ship yard.
