Went out this morning and hunted a beach I hunted last year. Hit a few clad coins, but my very first dig this morning was this “Walking Liberty.” She’s pretty rough, but a nice 1942 Liberty Half Dollar. Less than 6” deep. It registered a consistent 39 on the Nox 800. She’s been there a long time.

Congrats on the Walker.

Nice find. Those Walker halves are beautiful coins. This one is the same age as me. As a kid, I always had these in my pocket. If I only knew then what I know now!! Congratulations.

Nice Big Silver save. Congrats!!

Congrats on saving that beautiful old coin.

a rough walker is still a sweet walker!

Nice find I have only found one so far

Super find! - Hey - I just wanted to say that the high # on the machine is inline with what ive observed. Something about the salt water soil can make targets have a much higher ID number. I dig copper cent coins in the salty muck that will read as a 31 or so. And any silver dime in the salty stuff can get into the 30s as well. In the regular dirt, these ID numbers are more consistant and read lower, more like what you'd expect.

With that half dollar there, you'd think there could be more! Go get em :)

There's a lot of rim left on that coin...Might try the baking soda/foil trick on it....or not.

Nice Walker at any condition. Congrats on all the saves & HH
