kruzer waterproof boot on the coil side ?

does the multi kruzer suppose to have a boot on the coil side connection ? it seems to me that that connection point should have one and i'm afraid to use it in water , am i wrong ?

There is no boot on the coil side, it is not needed. just make sure its tight, not over tight though.

Right the pin connectors are water proof, or supposed to be. I still put a little bit of plumbers tape on the threads of my connectors though. For exta water proofing and because it helps prevent them from going loose on their own over time.

Wait, wait, are you talking about the coil end? Like where the cord meets the coil? If so there should already be a flexy boot built into the cord, if its not there then it has been tampered with, though i have no idea why anyone would want to take that off, I mean its literally molded into the cable, you'd have to cut it off.

nope...NOT the coil end that's got the boot on both the 11" coil and the 7" coil are fine....

ok, whew, i was like oops? yeah still no boot on the connector end.

That would be problematic! On that note, I always put a bead of silicone on the bottom of the flexing bit where it attaches to the coil AND at the top where the coil goes into it. I've had a lot of coils fail over the years from the seals in those two locations leaking and allowing water into the coil. Since I've been using the silicone in those two spots, I haven't lost a coil.
