Was hunting in the small lake I grew up on (it was a clay quarry in the teens until they hit water, still has a steam shovel in it at about 25' of water) and made an interesting find deep in the clay in chest deep water in the weeds where swimmers wouldn't normally go. The stones on the bracelet remnant appear to be scarabs and on the back it looks be be a lot of runic text (iPhone cannot capture the details). It was the kind of piece that made me think of the dooladodeedoo sound from that Brady bunch episode. I put it in jewelry cleaner, but it didn't really clean up much so I'm thinking it's not gold, however it had to be in the water a looong time to be that deep in clay. It seems too light though to be gold. Any ideas what this is? No marks I can find.

Then by the sand beach I found some coins. Love the color of the coppers besides the clad, almost felt like digging gold coins!

Thanks for looking!

Nice finds! The bracelet was probably GP, I had a similar one in 1970's. First time I've seen pennies a "gold" color, just about every other color though.

Neat finds looks like a great time! Need to get a water machine again or have mine fixed!

Cool! :occasion18::blob3::occasion18: I had one of those scarab bracelets long time ago. :cat: Andi
