Lamination Error????

What do yall think this is. I have never seen a damaged coin like this and the only two thinks I can come up with is that it is a lamination error, or some other material defect, or a small amount of isolated acid got onto the coin. Thoughts

That almost looks like a struck-through error to me. See the example on this page: Error Coin Examples : Jim's Coins and Stamps
Maybe a little piece of cloth or something since part of the F seems to still be showing.
