Found this pretty deep under ground doing my landscaping job. Just thought it was interesting enough to post here.

Behold my first ever restoration. With help from brake parts cleaner, clp oil , rubbing alcohol, sand paper dremel, and a 200 grit knife sharpener. I’m blown away that that is still fresh metal in there. And on the handle cuff it says sterling. That can’t be the blade right?

That's a really nice find, congrats!
The ferrule that the handle goes into is the only part that's sterling.

I was trying to identify the year. It could be over a hundred years old. But worth nothing still cool tho. Mother of pearl fruit knife
