I was out early Saturday morning running some errands and I saw a sign for a yard sale, so I decided to go take a look, even though I was a half hour earlier than the opening time on the sign. As soon as I got there I saw the teak wood folding table with the huge brass platter top, and hand chased designs, but then I saw the faceting machine. I asked the woman if it was ok to look as I was early, but she said go ahead. I asked about the faceting machine first, and the man said $25! So I told him I would buy it, and then asked about the table. The woman said $25 as if it was a question, so I offered $20 and she accepted. Then the guy told me he had a rock saw if I would be interested. Turned out to be a Lortone 8" trim saw, also $25! Then I realized I didn't have any cash, so I asked to run to the ATM and come back and they agreed. I think I can sell the faceting machine locally for $550, the table for probably $200 locally, and the rock saw for $100...Paid $75 for everything. Lapidary is big here, Idaho is "The Gem State" after all. HH
