Large cent and a merc that celebrated its 100th birthday along the river

Got out along the river this morning to beat the heat, managed a 1918 merc and the SURPRISE of the day, a toasty no date large cent plus a neat ink bottle and a few other odds and ends. Perfect day out in my books! Thanks for looking and hh!

Yep! A fine day out! I had a nice walk today too, just not a good "walk".

I did find a coin that was every bit as green as yours. Trouble is, it was a clad dime!
