Hey, Tnet zoysters, I got out today with my metal detecting buds, KirkPA and PACO. As KirkPA already stated, the day started at Pac's home, then the mart, and lastly, we arrived at out productive field: the Best Field in PA.
After fine-tuning my 90s style analog detector to the ground conditions of this ancient dwellers soil, I decided to grid out an area with the usual zoyboy professionalism. After 10 minutes of focused White's sweepin', I got a nice "R" on "Quarter" on my analog screen. It turned out to be an 1825 Coronet cent. The dudes came over and did the jovial dance with me.
To make a long metal detecting story short, I was swinging in Mr. Walter's style, when I was startled by an "A" on "Quarter" hit on my 90s style machine. After slamming down two foundation stones and I mean SLAMMING, I excavated a beautiful 1831 Coronet cent. After I pulled it from the super depth, I yelled out, "Number 23! Large coppa." While stating this to my partners, I proceeded to run backwards while spinning around in child-like celebration. The "Bone Dry Datecting" dance proceeded once again.
Continuing with the Mr. Walter-like swinging, I was startled with another "A" on "Quarter" hit on my trusty XL Pro. After digging down to its pinpointed depth of 4", I plucked out an 181? Coronet cent. I instantly yelled out, "24! Large coppa!"
My total finds for the day were 5 butt-ins, 1820s-1830s knife (found in the same hole with a flat butt-tin), and three Coronet cents. After this day, our group agreed to name this site the "Coronet Field."
White's strikes again!
*All relics were found on property that we had to obtain permission to hunt, eliminating the risk of a Trespass fine.
