Large Cent

I got out today with Colonial Silver Zeus and Colonial KirkPA to another new site. Zeus got quite a few dropped musketballs and one button.

I got this 1818 Coronet cent at a depth of 2.5 inches. It gave off a perfect "E" on "Quarter" reading on my White's XL Pro 6000.

Dang, that's a nice one. You know, if that coin was in the typical Tennessee soil it probably would be close to a foot deep. But there wasn't that many people in this area that far back. Congrats on the nice large cent!!!
