large coppers King George and ?????

Hi all I got out this morning and found a new site.....lookin like a good one. I found some old buttons and two large coppers that I'm not sure what they are.One I'm pretty sure is a King George.It's the size of a large cent has a bust and the words GeorgivsII rex ?? and the other has a slightly different bust with the words Augtori connec ? both have a seated figure on the reverse but the details arent to clear.Thanks !

Congrats on a King George II, looks like the old head, which would be 1740-54, and the other copper is for sure a Conn Halfpenny, 1785-88 (most likely a 1787 from what details I see on the Obverse photo)

Nice assortment of late 1700 era buttons to boot, great site you have found.

Thanks Don.Heres a pic of the reverce.Definatly a facing left type....Looks alot like the 1785 but I 'm not sure..what do you think.

For sure it is not a 1785,86 or 88. Now there are over 241 varities of 1787 and I am fairly certain(99%) 8) it is this variety. 1787 Miller 19-g.4

Thanks Don..I think your right...looks like it. I whent back this afternoon and found another conn. pretty worn but I can just make out a bust facing right on this one.I also found 5 more buttons and a musketball.
