Large Reed from cavalry site

I've had this awhile found at 1870s church woods were there's wagon roads. I've found a few mini balls there too. I've never seen a reed that large before. Maybe a concertina? Sherman's cavalry passed through that area so it could be possibly from those men. Or it could been from someone in the church I don't know .

I was doing comparison between harmonica and accordian and I'm leaning towards accordian by the way it looks. Very old one.
